Afternoon Tea At The Village

We finally got to go to the new Tea House in Long Beach, "Afternoon Tea At The Village". The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with lots of things to look at and very clean. The food was generous and the scones are wonderful! I am not a tea addict, but my blackberry-rasberry tea was outstanding. My friend had white peach and finished the whole pot, it was so good. We had some scones and desert pieces left that we brought home for our evening snack. The fillings of the sandwiches that we chose were very tasty and generous. We will definitely go back to have a party or just having a relaxing tea time.

I popped in on their grand opening today, and I’m so happy I did! As soon as I walked in, I felt the warmth, cozy, and fun of the place. You can tell they’ve poured their hearts into the space. I chatted with the owners, a mom and daughter duo, who are from England and brought their love for tea here. The service was amazing, and I felt like family! There are so many tea options (even caffeine free), it’s hard to pick just one. Just like “pick your pot” for your tea choice. The sandwiches were made fresh to order, and the desserts were all so yummy! What a fantastic menu to order a full experience or just grab a bite. They even had kid-sized pots and a menu that’s both kid-friendly and allergy-conscious. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back!

This is a little gem! I was so impressed by their food and general flexibility of the menu to really customize your afternoon tea experience. This is the first tea spot I’ve been to in awhile that actually times the steep time and doesn’t leave the tea leaves in the pot to turn your tea bitter (I’m not sure how other places get away with that!), this touch really made me happy. Bonus experience is you get to pick out your own tea pot to use from a wide selection which is fun. 100% will be going back.

So glad this place opened up in my neighborhood! The staff are very kind and the menu isn't overwhelming. It would be a perfect date spot for local high school and college students on a budget. It's very well decorated and you can pick out the teapot you want for your table. The bathroom is clean and there is a diaper station if needed. This is the perfect place to take your friends for Afternoon Tea

I had an amazing time with my daughter . I had the Lady Grey. It was so aromatic and delicious. The owners are a Mother and daughter duo. They created their own tea blends, a variety of scones , finger sandwiches and more! The decor has so many traditional and vintage items , to set the mood to ( as my daughter says) “ feel fancy””. You get to pick your own teapot. They have quite the selection- from dainty floral porcelain, to ceramic character pots. There are even pots for the kids! They have a small gift section for those of you like me , who enjoy momentos from my positive experiences. I highly recommend this tea room for intimate occasions and friendly get togethers. Who knows? Maybe even a first date. I will definitely be back!

This is the perfect spot for afternoon tea with a friend, or to celebrate any occasion in style. The atmosphere is inviting, lovely, and cozy. The food is generously portioned, and super delicious. I absolutely love the jam served with the scones. The scones themselves are yummy and fluffy! The egg salad, cucumber, and chicken salad sandwiches were a big fav for us. I love that you can choose your teapot when you come in, and they also have the cutest hats you can wear for proper tea experience. The staff were friendly, warm, and made us feel right at home. It is so nice that you can go all out with a full tea experience, or you can order a’ la carte. We will absolutely be back!

Golly gee this place is fantastic. I went on a Saturday morning and was greeted with super friendly staff. Right off the bat, I was able to pick my own tea pot from the tea pot corner (so fun and unique!). They had so many different shapes, designs, and colors! I ordered the Windsor which included a pot of tea, a scone, and tea sandwiches. And, boy, was it filling! And a really good price for what you get, in my opinion. Now let me tell you. These scones were the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. My boyfriend got the lavender scone with lemon icing and I tried the cheese & chive scone (just to be adventurous and try a savory scone). They were phenomenal. I’ve never been to a tea place where you can pick your own scone flavor, and these did not disappoint. I cannot wait to go back and get more. They even mentioned I could order some to go if I was interested in doing that. And the tea sandwiches!! Also amazing. They tasted so fresh and flavorful. Plus there were a lot of tea choices for all types of tea drinkers. Black teas, greens teas, fruity teas, caffeinated, decaf, tons of amazing options. Finally, the staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They are, of course, very busy but they still managed to be personable and approachable. Shout out to our server Kiala! She is a gem. I also have heard of another fantastic server named Meg. She seems like a super star as well. And the two owners are a mother/daughter duo who are amazing first-time entrepreneurs. They’ve done so well making this little tea house a charming, delicious, and overall delightful establishment.

This is a lovely spot for afternoon tea! The sandwiches are good, the scones delicious, and really good tea! The added touches of choosing the teapot you like and maybe a photo in a fancy hat make the experience that much more personal. The staff is friendly and attentive and I will be back soon to do it all over again!
